Project 52

What is Project 52? From http://project52.info:

Project 52 is a personal challenge geared toward getting fresh content on your website.  The goal is to write at least 1 new article per week for 1 year.  Because we all know what it's like to procrastinate on our content.  A website is not just a fresh design that can be uploaded to the web and forgotten about!

So I've met a ton of people thanks to Chris Harrison, and Anton is one of them. He's good people. And has come up with an even greater idea. I've had a blog for a bit and I've posted things off and on, random nonsense. But now, in between the posts, I've decided to make it a point to make a blog post at lease once a week. And I think I'm going to theme the weekly posts.

Here's a little back story. A little over 4 years ago, I was 285 lbs.  Unhealthy, extremelycarl-003.jpg overweight, and feeling 15 years older than I was. And to top it off, I was at Blockbuster (does this store still exist?) when a 14 year old girl taps me on the shoulder and says "Hey, I think you look like the dad from Family Matters and I LOVE that show". Needless to say this cracked the mold for me. I knew I had to do something. So I lost 95 lbs in under 2 years time. Started doing P90x, was getting toned up. It was great.

Then my 3rd child was born and it threw me for a loop. Derailed my whole schedule. Slowly over the past 2 years, I've gained about 20-30 lbs back. And I'm not happy. Part of the reason for this though is I have/had no accountability. Hopefully Project 52 will help now. Each week, I'll write about what I've done for the week, good or bad. If I've stayed on course, if I stray from eating healthy, no matter what I do, it is going to be posted each week. I encourage comments, feedback, whatever you got, throw it at me!

So Anton, thank you for starting something that kicks my arse into gear! It's more than needed!
