With social media giving everyone a public platform to wax poetic, sometimes it can be overwhelming. Last night, the verdict was read and the fate of George Zimmerman was revealed to the public. Whether you agreed with the outcome or not, twitter and facebook exploded and the aftershocks are still being felt the next morning. Some of my friends asked if there was a way to filter these posts so they didn’t have to see it come through their stream. So I’m going to show you how to filter your Facebook News Feed. Luckily, there’s a pretty easy fix for this. This is the first in a series of screencasts that I will be doing featuring the browser plugin “SocialFixer”.
Social Fixer works with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome (version 19+), Apple Safari, Opera (Version 11+), GreaseMonkey and …um… internet explorer (we don’t like to talk about him, really). This Screencasts showcases the filtering ability of SocialFixer and how fluid it works on the fly. Use it for a number of occasions. Have a question or feature you’d like me to discuss? Post a comment and we’ll schedule it for the next few screencasts.
