This was Unexpected

Okay, this is going to be a quick post, but I was not expecting this. As most of you know, Will Smith's son Jaden along with Jackie Chan are apart of the remake of the Karate Kid. When this was announced, I was none to happy. You're remaking a classic. And I don't do well with anyone messing with my classics. You don't see anyone gunning to remake The Goonies do you?

Regardless, this morning, I'm presented with the trailer to said remake. Now in recent years, Jackie Chan has lost some of his exuberance in my opinion. I feel that it may be due to his age and the fact that I think he's broken more bones than he actually has based on all of the "blooper" reels on the majority of his old movies. Honestly though, after viewing this trailer? I think we may just have something of substance on our hands. I actually really dig the vibe of this. Check it out! The last line from Jaden in the trailer REALLY has the Will Smith Swagger kicking doesn't it?

As I said. Not to shabby. All I have to say is, there had BETTER be a montage featuring "You're The Best":
