Shake Recipe – Cardamom My Wayward Son

The Road So Far!

Mmmm Pie
Carry on…

I was going to skip making a new shake today. Figured I’d start going back to old recipes (making 365 new shakes would be…. tiresome). I had developed a few names of shakes last night and one in particular kept coming to mind. I’m a huge “Supernatural” fan and when today’s shake name came to mind again this morning, I decided to play with the ingredients a bit. At first I was going for a simple vanilla spice recipe. And thanks to my Father in Law, I am a huge fan of cardamom. Then it hit me. Cardamom is in Apple Pie and guess who picked up apples yesterday?

I ran this recipe by Tash and looked at my FIL’s Chai recipe for inspiration and today’s shake was born!

Apples? Check. Peaches? Check. This shake will taste like an Apple Pie in a cup that Dean Winchester himself would enjoy thanks to our special guest spice: Cardamom!

Ingredients
  1. 1 Scoop Raw Organic Meal
  2. Large Peeled Apple
  3. 1/2 Cup of Frozen Peaches
  4. 1/3 tsp cinnamon(or a rounded 1/4 tsp)
  5. 6 Ice Cubes
  6. 1/8 tsp cardamon
  7. 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  8. 1 1/2 Cups of Coconut Almond Milk
  9. Pinch of ginger
Instructions
  1. Peel a Large Apple (unless you want apple peel flakes in your shake. Totally up to you). Add in your frozen peaches, shake powder, spices and milk and blend that bad boy! I may add 1 extra apple and a full cup of frozen peaches next time. We'll see.
