Orange You Glad I Got Help?

Today’s Thrive Shake Recipe started out as one thing (A recipe that will be used later) and evolved into something completely different. My lovely wife was listening to the ingredients I was putting in and had a few ideas to add to it. And I’m glad she did. I’m an absolute citrus freak and love all things orange, grapefruit, tangerine, etc. I was going for something more raspberry at first this morning and my wife handed me a large orange and suggested I add it in. Light bulb moment. Why have I not included this before? We started with the orange and once she peeled it, we realized that it was an extremely juicy and we needed a few more ingredients. Thus began our step by step addition of items to make this power punch of awesome!

We added our spices, some coconut flakes but something was missing. So we went for the tried & true ingredient and added Almond Butter (you can buy the same almond butter we get at that link if you don’t have a Costco membership. If you do, just go get it there.   3. 3/4 Cup Frozen Raspberries
  4. 1 Tbsp Almond Butter
  5. 1/8 tsp Ginger Powder
  6. .5 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  7. 1/2 Cup Coconut Flakes
  8. 1 1/4 Cup Almond Milk
  1. Peel the Orange because Orange Peels in your shake PROBABLY wouldn't taste all that good. I mean.. there's zest and then there's peel. There's a difference, people! Add your Raspberries, Milk, Powder, Almond butter and finally all of your spices. Blend, pour, consume, get energized and ready to go Super Saiyan, people...
